Ernest Hilgard was one of the first researchers to take hypnosis seriously and show scientifically that it has tremendous merit in the relief of pain. While hypnosis has many other uses as well, its use in the relief of pain is probably the most documented, with many studies now in the literature. Hilgard's book is unique in being readable enough for a non-scientist to grasp how such research is done, and the meaning and usefulness of the results uncovered.

Jenna is just amazing. I love her books. This one is her best one yet. Everyone has hangups about themselves. Something they always wish they could improve. More often than not, these insecurities come into the bedroom with them. When that happens, love-making can get boring, annoying or downright unpleasant. If you use the suggestions in this book, you can turn your lover into exactly what you want him or her to be. The book, 'Erotic Hypnosis' was a concise yet easy to understand guide on how to use hypnosis to change your sex life. It was a breath of fresh air, and not what I expected at all. All of us have probably seen those movies and tv shows when a person is watching a watch or a pendulum swing in front of them, and some nerdy guy is saying in a monotone voice, 'You are getting very sleepy.' This book wasn't like this. This book gave clear easy to follow instructions for exploring hypnosis with your partner. My partner and I both found the idea so exciting that we tried this ourselves. The heat in the bedroom was just explosive, and I think it will change things forever. One of the things I learned in the book was how to work on making your voice more seductive. This book will be a tremendous benefit to anyone who wants to heat things up in the bedroom.

Great content - Terrible formatting

I was excited to see this text available on the kindle and promptly bought it. I used my iPad (2nd gen) to read it.

Pro: The content is good and the authors do a good job presenting this method.

Con: The formatting as a kindle text it atrocious. Numerous issues with lack of flow, charts being choppy, and general layout problems. It was so bad that many times I spent more time trying to follow the flow of the formatting than the actual information contained in here.

So get the book if you want a good description of a great manual therapy system. But don't get it on the kindle.

Be careful! This book posting is misleading! I thought I purchased the version by Olivia Coolidge. However, the softcover version is NOT by her, but someone else, and it is listed as the same book! Also, when you "look inside" the book.. it's actually Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice! Now I'm stuck with a book I can't use, and I'm not sure how to get the actual book I thought I ordered! It's a big mess.

challenging book

I bought this book for my homeschooled son who is 9 and his younger sister, both very advanced readers and history fans. The book was still a challenge. Wonderful in and of itself, its vocabulary, sentence structure and plot were above their heads. I had to concentrate real hard to follow the plot myself. Finally, I decided to read the book myself and retell it briefly to my children.
If I had to read it all over again I would carefully keep track of the names of Gallic chiefs and who they conspired with and against. So much of the book revolves around it!
Bottom line: great book for older children perhaps, 11 (as recommended above)could be still too young.

Not for middle school

Very difficult reading for the recommended age. I attempted reading it aloud to my eleven year old as our history curriculum suggests, and found it nearly impossible to keep both of us from nodding off. Save this until high school or college, at best, and even then only if you are seriously into the subject.

Extremely short. More of pamphlet than a book. It's clear this is material that is meant to go along with Peter Baker's Master VO class, but it still has some great information as a quick read. I enjoyed his ideas about cataloging character voices and associating them with a picture in your mind.

So good!

This is an awesome book by Joyce. I admire her marriage and l enjoyed this book so much. It was very helpful in several situations that I went through with my husband while reading it. I see him in a different light now and even though every thing he does drives me crazy, I am learning that to just enjoy him and sit back & watch the Holy Spirit at work. Joyce and is absolutely right about getting into agreement with your spouse so God`s power can flow into your marriage. One day my husband & I were having a disagreement and then we just agreed that life would be easier if we were single, and we agreed that we knew there was pleasure to be had in marriage, we just had not figured it out yet, and we chuckled and proceeded with our errands together. Well we ended up having the best time that day just laughing & really enjoying each other. I believe all because we agreed that we disagreed. It was kind of amazing and I believe the beginning of something great. If you are losing hope or discouraged about your marriage,.read this book!

Whenever I am frustrated with my husband, instead of taking in out on him, I read a section of this book and inevitably, the exact frustration I am experiencing is addressed in that section. Usually, the solution is I need to show grace to my husband and humble myself, which is not easy to do as a very independent woman. ( I was 39 when I got married and this is my first and hopefully only marriage.) After God brings it to my attention through Joyce's writing, I'm much more willing and able to do those things for both my husband and me. God has blessed Joyce with a gift of frankness in her writing and God has blessed me and my marriage through reading this book and applying it to my life. I pray for the same to you. :)

Love it... Very great information on how to communicate and how to show unconditional love in a marriage.. A must Read Lines up with the Bible teaching on Marriage and how it should be... Love it.
