Enjoyable

Good read. The first scene grabs your interest from the outset. I would change the main characters surname, however. Slavic names ending in "ova" mean "daughter of." Patronyms ending in "ich" mean son of (for example Ivanovich means son of Ivan).

Nice beginning...expect at least three more

Forgot this series was coming out. This was a nice surprise when I looked at the Siren new releases on Monday and was disappointed that none of the books in the series I am currently reading were there. Having a new Stormy Glenn book made up for it. Stormy and I go way back to my pre-Kindle days. I even repurchased a few as Match Books, so that I also had a copy on my Kindle to carry with me every where.
I immediately liked the pack of best friends strutting into the bar being themselves. Initially it seemed more sex than story, but then the storyline kicked back in. This is Jace's story. He is a feisty little guy whose past relationships have made him tougher. He's prepared not to take crap from anyone. Even a huge possessive white tiger alpha. Jace is a hand talking, switch walking, skillet swinging, coffee drinking, man loving, take charge clothes horse. It was fun getting to know him.
It was surprising how quickly the shifters revealed themselves. For most of the book I didn't like Mikhail. His overbearing arrogant attitude was a much for me. Towards the end he didn't seem that bad. So far with the little that I know about them I like his brothers better. I really look forward to Yuri and Liam's story, but over the next few Mondays I hope to find the next couple books in this series waiting on me to buy and read them.

Nice Relaxing Read

I really enjoy the way Stormy Glen writes about shifters. This story, Forever Mates: Mikhail & Jace, is a m/m mating and the difficult adjustment of becoming an Alpha mate. There are threats to this mating, causing upheaval in the pride.
I wish this story was longer because it didn't just go into the mating of Mikhail (tiger shifter) and Jace (human). There are Jace's good friends that just happen to also mate with Mikhail's brothers. And the brothers all live in the same house. It could have been odd stumbling across everyone the morning after. . . But thankfully the explanations were simple. (Imagine 4 men mating all in the same night, in the same house) Jace and his human friends all had different reactions but they all agreed to give this a try. Some were more committed than others.
While it was nice all the guys would continue their friendship into being each other's brother-in-laws . . . The focus of the story, Jace and Mikhail, was lost in the details. In other words I felt a bit short changed that instead of one pair and their mating, we get a 4 for one. . . And not enough page space to enjoy it all.
Despite all that I did enjoy the story. In some ways the matings and groupings was a bit too pat. . . But it was a nice instant mating Alpha shifter / human mating with enough action to keep the plot going. - Dan's Wife
