Is this the best textbook on strategic management?

I teach strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship in undergraduate and graduate programs at a top-25 business school. Rothaermel's Strategic Management is the best textbook for students and the best reference book for practitioners, especially c-level executives. The reasons are many, and among them are these ten.
1. Superior coverage of entrepreneurship and innovation - much better than other strategy textbooks
2. Excellent cases on innovation and entrepreneurship appropriate for undergraduate programs, MBA programs, and executive programs (e.g., Better World Books: Social Entrepreneurship and the Triple Bottom Line; Genentech; Numenta: The Age of Truly Intelligent Machines?; and Tesla Motors and the US Auto Industry, cases A and B)
3. Sound analysis and synthesis of theory and practice throughout the book
4. Organization of the textbook into three sections -- strategy analysis, formulation, and implementation -- simple, coherent, and powerful
5. Clear presentation of approaches, models, and insights from economics, sociology, psychology, and other social sciences

Outstanding! The best book I have ever used in any course I have ever taught.

In a word...PHENOMENAL!. Frank's book is exactly the right mix of theory and practical application in a strategic management textbook. I have taught classes in marketing, sales, management, international management and strategic management and this is, by far, the best textbook I have ever used in any course I have taught at any undergraduate level. I also have 10 years of experience in the corporate world and I find that the topics, concepts, and examples are completely relevant and useful to today's business student. It is a must for any institution looking for a strategic management textbook!
One of the greatest things about the textbook is the mix of both short and long cases and strategy highlights. There are times when an instructor needs to get a quick point across and can use the chapter cases to accomplish this and then there are time when more in depth concepts need to be analyzed and this is where the full length cases are invaluable. I have never had to search for outside information or supporting materials when using Frank's textbook. It is all there in one, perfect package!!
The other item that I find that is unique from other textbooks that I have used is that Frank sets up the chapter with an opening case. These are companies or situations for which the students are very interested and then that case can be used to teach the entire chapter. Brilliant! It makes teaching the concepts much easier because you can always refer back to the chapter case example. Additionally, the full length cases are favorites of my students and they appreciate that the cases are up-to-date and deal with companies that are well known. I have had a lot of positive feedback from my students on this part of the book.
