As usual, P.J. O'Rourke has written a masterful, funny and insightful book. I am a huge fan of his. His work makes me laugh--but, also makes me think. (PJ may find the latter part to be scary.)

Our yearly PJ fix

This compilation seems a little rushed, but if you need a yearly PJ fix, this is a great way to do it. And since he writes for various publications, this is the best way to cover his work. He's a non-partisan (or maybe bi-partisan) offender, so no one is safe from his well-deserved jabs.

As P.J. says in his intro, it's a kind of hash of articles and notes without much continuity. There are a few good lines, a few funny yet incisive thoughts, but nonthing like Mr O'Rourke at his best.
